We experience that summers are getting warmer and that heat waves are the norm rather than the exception. Many existing air-cooled installations are not designed to operate in these conditions and run into problems.

For companies where a lot of heat is generated by machinery or computers, as well as for cold stores, where a very low temperature needs to be guaranteed, the traditional air-cooled cooling systems and condensers are often very expensive in energy consumption.

By the implementation of a Misting Group high-pressure misting system, the air will be adiabatically cooled before it’s absorbed into the condenser, resulting in the optimization of the performance of the condenser, a significant reduction in energy consumption and an extended lifespan of the existing installation.

In addition to the above, our systems offer very interesting applications for disinfecting rooms, improving air quality and regulating air humidity via the HVAC circuit.

Adiabatische A/C pre cooling

Rising temperatures significantly reduce the efficiency of air-cooled air-conditioning systems, resulting in a reduced performance, higher energy consumption and a shorter lifespan of the installation.

By the installation of a Misting Group high-pressure misting system, an adiabatic cooling process will be initiated. Adiabatic cooling is the process of micro-droplets extracting energy (in the form of heat) from the ambient air during the evaporation, reducing temperature by up to 12°C (53,6°F).

As a result, the condenser will consume less energy, the performance will be optimized and the lifespan of your installation will be extended. You will also avoid overloading the electrical grid on peak performance.

The system can be automated by linking it to the PLC of the existing HVAC installation.

Hygrometry

Rooms that are cooled by traditional air conditioning systems often struggle with low humidity levels, which can result in allergic reactions, rhinitis, static electricity and an uncomfortable feeling.

High-pressure misting is the ideal ecological solution for regulation and control of hydrothermal climates in buildings.

The micro-droplet, produced by our Misting Group high-pressure misting system, will increase in a controlled way the air humidity, without wetting the interior. In the adiabatic cooling process, micro-droplets evaporate very quickly after leaving the nozzle.

The system can be fully automated by adding a programmable temperature and humidity controller. But it can just as easily be linked to the PLC control panel of the HVAC system.

Disinfection

Ventilation ducts are often very hard to clean, which makes them a real breeding ground for bacteria and dust particles.

This nuisance can be avoided by the integration of Misting Group nozzles in the existing ventilation ducts.
The nozzles are connected to a Misting Group high-pressure misting system with a built-in dosing pump, allowing us to add a disinfectant to the mist to clean the air.

This set-up can be expanded with nozzles on the ventilation grids in the rooms in order to disinfect the desired volumes.
